Following the Japan-only Game Boy Advance title Rhythm Tengoku, Rhythm Heaven Fever was released on the Wii and Rhythm Heaven Megamix for the Nintendo 3DS. Test your rhythm by chopping wood, sticking speeding viruses with forks and playing badminton while flying an airplane, all in time to catch tunes in this deceptively challenging rhythm game. For experts, you are offered a limited chance to achieve a Perfect run on particular levels. You can also return to levels to see if you can improve your performance. To clear a level you need to hit enough beats to get a high enough score. It soon includes not only taps and presses but holding the stylus down on the touch screen, dragging it across the screen and flicking it off the screen. The timing and nuance of interactions develop as the game progresses. The levels are all relatively short and each has their own aesthetic and rules. The DS version of the game is played held vertically, like a book. You press buttons or use the touch screen to trigger timed actions. Rhythm Paradise (also known as Rhythm Heaven, Rhythm World and Rhythm Tengoku) is a Japanese rhythm game where you perform everyday action in time with a musical beat.
